What the original announcement left out is that Consequence has confirmed a second container (an Iron Man helmet) will also be available, and both will be sold at Cinemark locations as well as Regal from the same date.
The timing is deliberate. Avengers: Endgame Encore hits screens on 25 September, positioned as essential viewing before Avengers: Doomsday opens on 18 December. Joe Russo has said revisiting Endgame will matter before audiences see what comes next, and that the Encore edition carries new material connected to the upcoming film. The studios are clearly treating this as a proper theatrical event, not a straight reissue, and the merchandise strategy reflects that.
What the Nano Gauntlet and Iron Man Helmet Actually Do
The design work on both containers is more considered than a standard novelty bucket. According to Consequence, the top section of the Iron Man helmet lifts off to create the popcorn compartment. On the Nano Gauntlet, the yellow Mind Stone on the back of the glove folds out to open a popcorn pocket. Neither is just a reshaped tub with a logo on it: both pieces are built around their own functional mechanism, which goes some way to explaining why demand has already been running high online.
The Regal Avengers Nano Gauntlet in particular references one of the most discussed moments in recent MCU history, which has given the reveal on Regal’s Instagram considerable traction. Fan reaction has ranged from enthusiasm to a fairly honest reckoning with the cost. ‘I like how they put it comes with popcorn, knowing it’s about to cost like $100,’ one commenter wrote. Another put the dilemma plainly: ‘I want it so badly but I also want to be able to have electricity this month.’
Pricing Still Unconfirmed as Fandango Bundle Sells Out
Neither Regal nor Cinemark has announced what the containers will cost at the theater window. A separate Fandango bundle, priced at $49.99, offered a ticket to Endgame Encore alongside a choice of either the Nano Gauntlet or the Iron Man helmet collectible, but that package has already sold out, removing the clearest public pricing reference point.
The sell-out is its own data point. Collectors and casual fans alike appear willing to commit before the in-theater price is even known, which is consistent with how the recent run of MCU collectible cups and buckets has performed. There is also a practical question floating around the comments: can you actually wear the Nano Gauntlet? Given that it is modelled on a glove that reversed the Blip in the film’s climax, the question is not entirely unreasonable.
For anyone who has watched previous MCU popcorn containers come and go without buying, the combination of the Regal Avengers Nano Gauntlet, its Cinemark availability, and the Mind Stone mechanism may be the point where the calculation finally tips.
